Winter School on Quantum Nanoscience
The International Max-Planck Research School for Advanced Materials and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in collaboration with the Troisième Cycle de la Suisse Occidentale organize a winter school on “Quantum Nanoscience”. The school will take place from the 27th of March to the 1st of April 2011 at the Hotel Royal in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
The twenty-first century is seeing the emergence of quantum technologies. The basis for this development in quantum engineering is a dramatic advancement in our capability to control matter with ultimate atomic precision and to engineer novel nanoscale materials with unprecedented properties. The aim of the winter school on Quantum Nanoscience is to expose PhD students and junior Post-Docs to this fascinating research field where quantum physics and nanotechnology meet.
