Victor joins the EESD laboratory as a scientific assistant, where he will develop autonomous navigation algorithms to perform infrastructure inspection with drones.
Victor Casas graduated in 2022 with a Master's degree in robotics and a Bachelor's degree in Microtechnology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Lausanne (EPFL). During his master, Victor developed a great interest in mobile robotics, where he could learn from both hardware and software environments. He performed his master's thesis at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems (LIS) aimed at utilizing wind currents in morphing-winged drones, for which he received an award from Hilti.
