PhD canditate Georgios Vlachakis joins EESD for a 4-month research period
Georgios Vlachakis is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Minho in Portugal and member of the Stand4Heritage team. His PhD research is dedicated to the study of the out-of-plane seismic behaviour of masonry structures using experimental and numerical methods.
Georgios has joined EESD laboratory for a four month research stay. He will work under the supervision of Prof. Katrin Beyer and Dr. Savvas Saloustros to develop an experimentally-informed constitutive law for dry-joint masonry structures.
