PhD canditate Christian Salvatori joins EESD for a 3-month research period
Christian Salvatori is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Pavia in Italy. His research interests include seismic design and analysis mainly focusing on numerical simulations and the development of advanced equivalent-frame models for the nonlinear seismic analysis of masonry structures.
Christian has joined EESD Laboratory for a three month research stay. He will work with Prof. Katrin Beyer on the development of a novel three-dimensional macroelement particularly suitable for the modeling and the seismic assessment of masonry buildings.
