A warm welcome back to our newest PhD student, Gaia!
Gaia obtained her Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from EPFL. During her studies she worked on a project at SMaL on 3D printing granular hydrogels. She completed her master's thesis at Harvard Medical School, where she developed injectable self-healing hydrogels for tissue engineering applications.During her PhD at SMaL, her research will focus on converting rubber waste into efficient granular dampers.
