Welcome Çağdaş!

Çağdaş earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Türkiye, in 2022, and his double major in Aerospace Engineering in 2023. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at METU and as an assistant at the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT). In 2025, he completed his Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at METU with a thesis titled “Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Boundary Layer Transition on Airfoils.” His graduate research combined large-scale wind tunnel experiments including infrared thermography, surface pressure, and wake measurements, as well as numerical simulations for airfoils. Outside of research, Çağdaş competed internationally in contract bridge as part of the Turkish national team and he enjoys playing football.
