Wassim Dhaouadi recognized as JCI outstanding persons of the world

Wassim Dhaouadi has been selected as one of the JCI ten young outstanding persons of the world.

Wassim is one among 10 outstanding young persons of the world, as recognized by the JCI TOYP award. This award This award honors young leaders under 40 around the world. Wassim will be recognized in the award ceremony in November. The award citation, available from the JCI website, recognizes Wassim's academic leadership and research accomplishment, highlighting his publications, and his time working as a thesis student at JPL in Pasadena, California, on a NASA related project. 

The citation also cites Wassim's work at the EPFL, in EMSI. Wassim studied the arrested rise of bubbles in capillaries with an optical method, and showed that a thin film persists even when the bubble appears stuck, shedding light on this important phenomenon. 

Also highlighted in the award citation are the manifold recognitions of Wassim's leadership, including the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Leadership and Ethics Award from Columbia Business School, and his participation in the `Nuit Des Idées 2020,' by invitation from the Institut Français de Tunisie. More than 3000 people attended the event featuring Wassim as an invited speaker.
