URBES at EGU24
Busy week in Vienna as URBES was involved in several sessions and presentations at the EGU General Assembly 2024!
This year the URBES laboratory was involved in the organization of two sessions at the EGU General Assembly:
- ITS1.5/NP8.6 Urban Geo-sciences: modelling and monitoring complex urban systems; from the state of the art to planning challenges (co-convener: Gabriele Manoli)
- AS2.2 Urban Boundary Layer Dynamics Across Scales (convener: Aldo Brandi)
We also presented the latest results of our work in collaboration with colleagues from EAWAG and UCLouvain:
- Numerical assessment of urban wind energy micro-generation potential: a comparison between two Swiss cities by Aldo Brandi and Gabriele Manoli
- Assessing the impact of mobility on heat exposure by Guo-Shiuan Lin and Gabriele Manoli
- Assessing the microclimate conditions in urban green spaces and the effects of underlying driving factors in Switzerland by Yuxin Yin, Gabriele Manoli, and Lauren Cook
- Modeling the Interplay between Urban Environmental Characteristics and Cyclist Route Preferences by Pranav Pandya, Maider Llaguno-Munitxa, Martin Edwards, Emilie Lacroix, and Gabriele Manoli
