Unigestion supports research seminars in finance
The Swiss Finance Institute@EPFL, in collaboration with UNIL-HEC offer joint finance research seminars. Unigestion, institutional asset manager, supports this initative to foster innovation within the financial industry.
The Swiss Finance Institute @ EPFL and the University of Lausanne announce the opening of a series of research seminars in the field of finance on the 23rd of September. These seminars attract speakers from academic institutions around the world and cover a variety of topics in relation to finance.
Unigestion, an independent asset management company based in Geneva, supports the 2011-2012 series of conferences. Encouraging research and fostering innovation are part of the firm’s DNA. Created in 1971 and headquartered in Geneva, Unigestion manages in excess of CHF 12 billion of assets in Equity Minimum Variance, Funds of Hedge Funds, Funds of Private Equity Funds and Asset Allocation on behalf of pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and a few high net worth families. The company employs 147 people from 19 nationalities and has offices in Geneva, London, Paris, New York, Singapore and Guernsey.
This series of conferences will start with a presentation by Christian Upper from the Bank of International Settlements on Friday the 23rd of September. It will be followed by a talk by Dirk Hackbarth from the Department of Finance of the College of Business at Illinois on the 27th of September.
The seminars will be held from 2 to 4 times a month until June 2012 and are generally scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm in room 126 at the EXTRANEF, the building of the University of Lausanne.
