EPFL Alumnus Marco Rafael is Regulatory Policy Leader at Roche in Basel, where he interacts with R&D experts, external stakeholders and regulators to bring innovation to the patients.
In honor of our 20th anniversary, the College of Management of Technology has initiated a tribute by connecting with our Alumni across our various educational programs to discover and learn about their professional journeys.
Today we are meeting Marco Rafael. As a pharmacist, he has always been closely connected to science, and in 2019, he chose to pursue the EPFL EMBA for its focus on innovation and to expand his perspective. The EPFL EMBA program allowed him to understand how science is connected to the way business operates and, better conceptualize regulatory frameworks that address the ecosystem needs of both today and tomorrow. This understanding will help drive future innovations that meet the needs of patients
