Time to celebrate: two CHEMINA students pass their candidacy exams

We have two new PhD candidates among us!
The CHEMINA team is thrilled to share that PhD students Alexandra Banbanaste and Sandra Hernandez Escobar have both passed their candidacy exams. After an eventful and productive first year in the lab, both Alex and Sandra spent many months writing reports, perfecting presentations, and studying scientific concepts to prepare for their exams. Alex presented her work supporting the SNSF grant APTAWINS, focused on developing in vivo wireless sensors to multiplex neurotransmitter measurements through organic electrochemical transistors. Sandra presented her work on creating in vivo field-effect transistor sensors for simultaneous electrophysiology and neurochemical recordings.
We are grateful to the professors who served as committees for these candidacy exams, and of course to the entire CHEMINA team for sharing their time and expertise to help make them both successful. Our team is so proud of Alex and Sandra as they continue to do amazing work in our group!
