Tianren Wu joins HOBEL group as a new PostDoc
Tianren Wu joined HOBEL in April 2021 as a post-doctoral researcher. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Shenyang Jianzhu University, Shenyang, China. He holds a master’s and doctoral degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in the United States. In HOBEL, Tianren expects to study indoor air chemistry within the context of the built environment and systematically characterize the impact of building factors on the transport and transformation of indoor air pollutants.

Tianren worked on characterizing the emissions and dynamics of aerosols and VOCs in indoor environments. His work includes evaluating early-life inhalation exposure of infants to carpet dust, investigating emissions of and exposure to VOCs in the office environment, and characterizing indoor formation and growth of sub-3 nm nanocluster aerosol. He also worked on ASHRAE 1734 project Reproducing A Representative Urban Atmospheric Aerosol Distribution At High Concentration In The Laboratory For Air Filter Ageing To Be Used In ASHRAE GPC 35p. In HOBEL, Tianren expects to study indoor air chemistry within the context of the built environment and systematically characterize the impact of building factors on the transport and transformation of indoor air pollutants.
