The Stanford Science Fellows program | Call for applications

The Stanford Science Fellows program seeks applications from outstanding graduating doctoral students and early-career postdocs committed to advancing foundational research in the natural sciences, working across disciplines with exceptional scholars, and bringing greater diversity of thought and experience to the global community of scientists. To support their research, Stanford Science Fellows have access to faculty and facilities in Stanford’s Schools of Humanities and Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, and Sustainability as well as at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Approximately ten new fellowships will be awarded. The Stanford Science Fellows program is open to applicants from all backgrounds, and applications will be evaluated in conformance with applicable law. Stanford Science Fellows are appointed for a term of three years. They will receive an annual stipend of $88,000 starting academic year 2024-25, benefits (including health insurance), $8,000 per year in supplemental funds to support research and professional development, and up to $2,000 for relocation expenses. The program includes community-building activities to foster professional development and leadership skills, as well as workshops, seminars, and informal discussions with Stanford faculty and visitors.
