IC and SV Professor Charlotte Bunne has appeared on the popular Ground Truths podcast, hosted by pioneering biomedical researcher Eric Topol, to talk about the recently published paper “How to build the virtual cell with artificial intelligence: Priorities and opportunities.”

Ground Truths is a widely respected and listened to podcast series that offers conversations with leading scientists on major advances on biomedical matters and beyond.

As first author of a landmark paper setting out a vision for AI-powered Virtual Cells, published in Cell’s 50th Anniversary focus issue, Bunne joined Topo, and Steve Quake, head of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and University of Stanford professor, to deep dive into proposals for the design of AI-powered Virtual Cells, how to construct them, the properties and capabilities they should possess as well as how the many parallel efforts in AI for biology and medicine can be integrated into a universal simulator of cell biology.
