The Structural Engineering Platform (GIS) at ENAC officially inaugurated three new installations in the experimental hall which extends considerably its testing capabilities.
The GIS presented three new experimental installations, including:
- A new dynamic testing machine LFV-1500 with a static capacity of 1500kN at a maximum speed of 2m/s, and cyclic range of 1200 kN which was already presented in a previous GIS news item.
- A new energy efficient pump unit PAR 550, with a maximum oil flow of 550 lt/min at 230 bars, that will supply several actuators and test benches.
- An in-house fully developped by the CONSTRUCT lab led by Prof. David Ruggiero and the GIS team biaxial panel tester with a movement complexity of 4 directions, 40 synchronised actuators working at 700 bars each.
