The Civil Engineering Section congratulates its 54 graduates

The 2021 edition of the Civil Engineering graduation ceremony took place on Saturday 2 October at the Polydôme Badoux.
During this ceremony, 54 civil engineering students received their diplomas in the company of teachers, industrial partners, families and friends.
The godfather of this year's class was Mr. Jean-Pascal Gendre, Chairman of the CSD Group, who graduated in Civil Engineering from EPFL in 1987.

In addition to the graduation ceremonies, prizes for excellence offered by industrial partners in Civil Engineering were awarded to the best students:

CITEC Award to Mr Espalader Clapés Jasso for his Master's thesis entitled "Lane changing and lane choice in an urban congested environment". Supervision Prof. Nikolaos Geroliminis, LUTS

The IM prize is awarded to Mr Davide Lamberti for his high quality PdM entitled "Concrete dam AAR numerical modelling and stress relief measures". Supervision MER Giovanni de Cesare, PL-LCH

Sarada M. and Raju A. Vinnakota to Mr. Vingerhoets Xavier for his PdM "Application of textile concretes to the conversion of a farm into a residential building". Supervision MER Miguel Fernandez Ruiz, IBETON

The SGEB Award is presented jointly to Ozden Selimcan and Maestranni Riccardo.

Ms. Voirin Sarah receives the SIA Vaud Prize for her work entitled "Influence of dynamic stresses on wood-frame construction elements". Supervision MER Pierino Lestuzzi, EESD.

The winner of the IIC prize is Mr. Mudry Alexandre for his project entitled "Optimized design of a fiber-reinforced polymer multifunctional radiant slab". Supervision Prof. Dolaana Khovalyg, TEBEL.

Van Mol Romain was awarded the Stucky for his excellent Master project "Plunge pool rehabilitation with prismatic concrete elements case study and physical model of Ilarion dam in Greece". Supervision MER Giovanni De Cesare, PL-LCH.

The UPIAV Prize was awarded to Mr. Espalader Clapés Jasso who obtained the best Master's average of his year.

The PEGURRI prize for the best average in the Bachelor cycle was awarded this year to Tireford Nicolas.

As for the EPFL prize for excellence in teaching in the Civil Engineering Section, the winner is Prof. Dimitrios Lignos, director of the RESSLAB laboratory.
