The access platform to Emerald Publishing journal titles
The Library offers the EPFL community a selection of journal titles in the fields of Management and Engineering, available online on the Emerald Insight platform.
The Library subscribes to the Management package offered by Emerald publishing in 2006. It has then been enriched with titles in the field of Engineering and today, the Library gives access to more than 145 specialized online journals from this publisher.
In partnership with the Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries, the EPFL Library closely follows the evolution of the portfolio and negotiates each year the new license agreement with Emerald Publishing. This commitment is essential to contain the explosion of prices and to face the changes of access models imposed by the publisher.
Issues of major scientific interest, such as Open Access (OA) publication and Text and Data Mining (TDM), are also supported by the Library during the negotiations with the publisher.
