Tech4Impact, EPFL’s flagship initiative for accelerating groundbreaking and sustainable technological solutions, will merge with the Enterprise for Society Center to further accelerate Switzerland’s impact innovation ecosystem.
“Unity makes strength”. Following the famous adage, E4S’ innovation activities and Tech4Impact, two players in the sustainable innovation ecosystem, have decided to unite under one common entity: E4S Tech4Impact. This move will allow both organizations to scale their activities, benefit from their shared networks, and boost the development of impact-driven innovations in Switzerland.
Tech4Impact, an initiative born at EPFL in 2017 under the wing of the Vice Presidency for Innovation, has been providing a common platform to engage with students, researchers, entrepreneurs, corporates, NGOs, international organizations, as well as society at large in order to realize innovative and entrepreneurial solutions that have the potential to achieve sustainable impact.
By joining forces with Tech4Impact, we at E4S are delighted to concretize our three founding institutions commitment’s to an innovation ecosystem for the common good and are looking forward to confirming the success and expanding the reach of this successful initiative
Tech4Impact has created and collaborated in many successful innovation programs that will now be scaled up such as the Showcase 2030, the Switzerland Innovation Tech4Impact Initiative with the Switzerland Innovation Foundation, the Levo Framework with the EPFL College of Management, the data-enabled Circular Economy research program or the Growth Stage Impact Ventures Initiative with the United Nations Development Programme.
Since its inception, Tech4Impact has proven to be a pioneering initiative for sustainability and innovation at EPFL. At the Vice-Presidency for Innovation we aim to create, incubate and then spin-off initiatives with high impact. As such, we are excited for this next step that allows Tech4Impact’s mission and activities to scale for the three institutions, becoming a leading player in impact innovation in the Lemanic region.
