On Wed. December 15th, Prof. Corentin Fivet & PhD Maléna Bastien-Masse will present the latest research by the Structural Xploration Lab to global design firm ARUP. The one-hour event will browse the following questions: Can we design concrete structures without pouring concrete? What are the new avenues of structural design in the circular economy? What are the challenges of designing load-bearing structures when the material is already manufactured? How design changes in light of lifecycle assessment? How to create synergies between designers and demolition contractors? Is material hunter a new profession?
