Summer 2012: Space Development and Practice School in Moscow!

From 3 to 14 July 2012, 8 candidates from Space Center partner organizations will have the opportunity to attend the “Space development: Theory and Practice International Workshop” that will take place in Moscow, Russia. This 10-day workshop is for space enthusiasts and will provide the participants with an opportunity to discuss Russian and International space programs.
For more than a decade EPFL and the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) have established a close partnership in the domains of research, joint projects, and exchange of staff. A cooperation agreement was signed in 2001.
The 10-day program includes:
- Tours of Russian space centers and facilities
- Meeting professionals working on the front edge of space science and technology
- Lectures on various subjects related to space exploration
- Scientific conference
- Cultural program
This opportunity has been offered since 2008 and now 4 groups of EPFL students have participated in this program. You can find their reports in these web pages [SDTP 2008] [SDTP 2011]. All the costs to attend this course will be borne by BMSTU including hotel, meals, and participation to the workshop, and visits during the 11 days in Moscow. Not covered in this deal are the airfare to Moscow and back, the cost for any extra insurance coverage, and the visa to enter Russia.
