Study course in Civil Engineering

March 14, 2023 was reserved for the EPFL study tours.
The 2nd year Bachelor students as well as the 1st year Master students in Civil Engineering could enjoy a day of visit, organized by their delegates.
The BA4 students in Civil Engineering were warmly welcomed by the company Sottas in Bulle. They continued their visit to the Schiffenen dam.
The MA2 students in Civil Engineering visited the Hagneck dam and the Poya Bridge and they also attended a conference at the HEIA given by Mr. Bernard Houriet (civil engineer, graduate of the EPFZ, he co-founded the civil engineering office GVH in 1982. In 36 years, he has participated in the study and realization of numerous works in French-speaking Switzerland. Among the most remarkable: the Poya Bridge, in Fribourg).
A very busy day that allowed them to learn a little more about the professional world of hydroelectricity and the design and aesthetics of bridges.
