STCC - Optimization of technical facilities

The HVAC (heating – ventilation – air conditioning) system of the Swiss Tech Convention Center underwent major optimization work based on innovative regulation concepts.
Its functions were improved with regards to consumer needs and ease of use, all while creating significant energy savings.
We can therefore expect the following energy savings:
- Electricity: 500,000 kWh/year, or a reduction of almost 30% of current HVAC-related equipment.
- Heat: 200,000 kWh/year, or a reduction of around a quarter of the building’s current consumption.
- Cooling: the savings are expected to be significant, but it is preferable to wait until the end of summer 2016 to make projections.
