Spring exhibitions & events at EPFL Pavilions

EPFL Pavilions unveils a rich programme of exhibitions, events and activities for all publics that will take place this spring from March to June, in collaboration with several EPFL centres, associations and laboratories. In parallel, the Cyber Physical exhibition is on view at Pavilion B until 16 June.

FIFDH: special screening at EPFL
The Ingénieur·es du monde association, EPFL Pavilions and the FIFDH (Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights) invite you to a special screening of the film Total Trust on the EPFL campus on Wednesday 13 March. A captivating documentary thriller, the film by director Jialing Zhang plunges us into a futuristic world where new technologies and artificial intelligence have become omnipresent. The screening will be followed by a debate on these issues in the presence of invited specialists.

Artificial Architecture: Machines and Dystopian Dreams
Artificial Architecture is an exhibition that invites the public to take a critical look at the future of artificial architecture. Through immersive projections and 3D prints, it presents five years of research carried out at the EPFL Media and Design Laboratory on the fusion between architecture and artificial intelligence, highlighting the potential and impact of this technology in this field.

Discovery Day – Events & activities for the general public
As part of the Cyber Physical exhibition, EPFL Pavilions presents a special day of activities for all publics on Saturday 23 March. Through guided tours, children's workshops, performances and encounters organised in partnership with various EPFL laboratories and associations, this will be an opportunity to explore the many facets of this captivating and immersive exhibition, at the intersection of real and virtual spaces.

Pâkomuzé: Ateliers & visites pour les familles
For the first time this year, EPFL Pavilions is taking part in the Pâkomuzé event alongside the main museums and cultural institutions in the canton of Vaud! During the two weeks of the Easter holidays, families will be able to discover the Cyber Physical exhibition during guided tours specially designed for them, and then take part in a 3D image workshop for children.

WARPED: Encor Studio invited by Artiphys
As part of its 32nd edition, Artiphys Festival invites Encor Studio to present several installations in the Pavilion A of EPFL Pavilions. Dedicated to artistic experimentation through audiovisual experiences, the Swiss collective creates innovative works whose essence alters and stimulates the public's perception.

Digital Dilemmas: Real-Life Consequences
Presented by the EPFL EssentialTech Centre and the ICRC in partnership with the EPFL Center for Digital Trust (C4DT) and EPFL Pavilions, the exhibition Digital Dilemmas: Real-Life Consequences sheds light on the many digital risks faced by civilians and humanitarian aid workers in conflict zones. Issues of internet access, data security and location protection constitute unprecedented dangers for these vulnerable people and organisations. Digital Dilemmas confronts the public with these problematics and dilemmas to highlight the vital importance of digital security in the context of humanitarian aid.

Open Air Cinema + GIFF XR Roadshow
On 30, 31 May and 1 June, enjoy three free evenings of Open Air Cinema on the EPFL campus! Programmed in partnership with Ciné-club UNIL for the first night and GIFF (Geneva International Film Festival) for the two following, the three evenings will reflect the theme of the Cyber Physical exhibition, that merges physical and virtual spaces through anaglyphic 3D. In parallel, GIFF's XR Roadshow caravan will offer visitors the chance to discover immersive VR works that extend the boundaries of audiovisual creativity.
