A new edited book published by CRC Press features novel image processing techniques based on graphs. One of the chapters, written by Hammond, Jacques and Vandergheynst features Spectral Graph Wavelets. A graph of non-local patch similarities in an image is used to construct a frame of non-local graph wavelets. The sparsity of wavelet coefficients is then modelled and used for denoising.
