The magazine of architecture Archistorm, based in Paris, dedicates a special issue to Bauart, the architectural and urban design firm of which Prof. Emmanuel Rey, head of the Laboratory of architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST), is one of the partners. The research center Microcity, the EPFL branch in Neuchâtel, is among the multiple projects and realizations presented in this publication.

Issued in French and English, this publication is enriched by the contributions of Delphine Désveaux, Pascal Gontier, Bruno Marchand, Judith Solt and Béatrice Mariolle. Their crossed looks on the work of Bauart allow putting the firm activities in prospect with the fundamental stakes in the architectural profession.

Bauart’s activities cover the many fields related to architecture and town planning, both in the case of new buildings and transformation of existing ones. The selection of projects and achievements presented in this publication include, among others, the Ecoparc sustainable neighborhood in Neuchâtel, the Federal Statistical Office and the Arc Campus, the Microcity building in Neuchâtel, the Maison des religions in Bern, the FHNW complex in Olten and the Züri-Modular school pavilions in Zurich.
