SNSF Project Funding: Fall 2023 grant recipients announced

Out of 328 granted SNSF Project Funding research projects, EPFL has been listed as the responsible institution in 32 granted proposals.

The SNSF awarded CHF 27’577'042 to the EPFL projects submitted under the SNSF Project Funding Fall 2023 call for proposals and having EPFL researchers as corresponding applicant . 19 of the approved projects are in mathematics, engineering and the natural sciences (MINT), 5 in life sciences (LS), 5 in humanities and social sciences (HSS) and 3 in interdisciplinary divisions.

The SNSF provides project funding to enable qualified researchers to conduct research projects on self-chosen topics and with self-chosen goals independently and under their own responsibility. Through project funding, it aims to award researchers a basic grant that is appropriate for the planned research. In particular, researchers can apply for coverage of research costs and staff salaries as well as for the funding of scientific cooperation, networking and communication.
