SNSF new rule for submission deadline: no later than 5 P.M.!

The SNSF will introduce a new deadline for all its funding schemes: on the final submission date, applications will have to be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Swiss local time. This new rule will be applicable from October 1st, 2016 onward.
The SNSF introduces this submission deadline to optimize its support during the submission process: SNSF staff will provide assistance until 5 p.m. The advantage of this change is also that it will be more in line with the rules of other important funding bodies, such as the European Programme Horizon 2020.
The first funding scheme concerned by this change is the project funding: originally, the deadline was fixed on October 1st, 2016. However, to offer a good support for the submission process, the SNSF has decided to change this deadline to Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at 5 p.m. Swiss local time!
