Shen Yang joined HOBEL in December 2018 as a postdoc scientist after receiving his PhD in Building Science and Technology from Tsinghua University, China in July 2018.
During his PhD research, Shen has participated in a number of projects regarding indoor air quality engineering, specifically, innovative indoor air quality control technologies, emissions of air pollutants from humans, and air pollution characterization in various indoor environments.
Shen's experience of interdisciplinary research about the application of carbon nanotubes in indoor air quality control helps him win the Grant-In-Aid Award from ASHRAE in the 2017-2018 academic year.
In HOBEL, he is currently working on aerosol emissions from humans and indoor air quality investigation in Swiss dwellings.
