SARINE: SURVEY ON DAILY MOBILITY

© 2025 EPFL
As part of the SURFACE research project, conducted in collaboration with the CHANGE laboratory, ALICE has published an online survey on the Maptionnaire platform to collect the experiences of residents in the Sarine region. Tell us about your spatial practices and share the survey with those around you!
SURFACE is a three-year research project led by the ALICE and CHANGE laboratories, funded by an ENAC Fribourg Grant, and carried out in collaboration with the Fribourg Mobility Department and the City of Fribourg's Urban Planning and Architecture Department. Its objective is to create a co-design methodology to develop urban and road surfaces into a socio-ecological interface. These processes would transform Fribourg's cantonal roads into multimodal Passages-Paysages - green infrastructures geared towards active mobility.
After an initial workshop that gathered expertise from professional stakeholders, the research team now wants to collect information on citizens' spatial practices and mobility experiences. It is interested in how mobility is experienced and considers the experience of people living in these places to be essential to understanding the issues it raises.
ALICE has therefore published a Maptionnaire—a questionnaire on a platform specializing in geographical surveys—which will enable these experiences to be collected. The questionnaire can be accessed via the link below:
