Professor Sandro Carrara, from the School of Engineering, has just been reappointed as editor-in-chief of the IEEE Sensors Journal.

The IEEE Sensors Journal has just reappointed Sandro Carrara, from The Integrated Circuits Laboratory, as editor-in-chief. This is the largest engineering journal in the world with 1500 published articles in 2020. “These last years, the team of editors I have the honour to work with has done a great job. We have increased the number of pages, received more manuscripts and created a public discussion group on social networks to discuss the published articles, which has now around 2000 members," says Sandro Carrara.

TheIEEE Sensors Journalis a peer-reviewed, semi-monthly online journal devoted to sensors and sensing phenomena.The articles are evaluated by a minimum of two independent reviewers and 120 people make up the editorial board. The impact factor of the journal is 3.073 (2019).
