Sabine Süsstrunk receives the Raymond C. Bowman Award 2018

Professor Sabine Süsstrunk is awarded for excellence in imaging education by the Society for Imaging Science and Technology.

Sabine Süsstrunk, who leads the Image and Visual Representation Laboratory in IC School at EPFL since 1999, focuses on computational imaging, computational photography, color image processing and computer vision, multimedia, and computational image quality and aesthetics.

The Raymond C. Bowman Award is given to Prof. Süsstrunk “for her dedication in preparing the next generation of imaging scientist, not only in their technical expertise, but in their ability to clearly communicate their knowledge, apply it to a broad range of applications, and understand the consequences of their work for society.”

The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (imaging.org), founded in 1947 and with over 820 members worldwide, is a professional international organization dedicated to the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of imaging, which it promotes through conferences, educational programs, publications, and its website.
