After rigorous evaluation by an academic panel, the Runner-up of 2025's Doctoral Thesis Award in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (so-called ISIC prize) is Vu Trung Tin Nguyen and his thesis entitled "Photo-mediated generation of radical synthons from cyclopropanes ".

The official award ceremony took place on December 11th (FSB Assembly, EPFL), where the winner was honored for his remarkable thesis.

The award consists of a certificate and financial recognition of 1’000 CHF jointly subsidized by the ISIC and the EDCH program, EPFL.
