Reversible Fuel Cell / Electrolyser system installed in Switzerland

As a result of the EU Project SWITCH (2020-2024) ( https://switch-fch.eu/ ), the partner responsible for system integration, HyGear (NL), has transfered the succesfully tested project demonstrator to EPFL, also a SWITCH project partner (https://hygear.com/advanced-solid-oxide-electrolyser/ ).
The double container system (photo) was delivered to the Gaznat gaznat.ch premises in Aigle on May 29th 2025.
The 30 kW / 100 kW reversible power-to-gas-to-power installation (SolydEra technology), producing pure H2 at 8 bar (HyGear), will be recommissioned after a number of upgrades and is the first-of-its-kind in Switzerland. It further strengthens the EPFL-Gaznat-SolydEra collaboration partnership
