Promotion of Prof. Vincenzo Savona

Professor Vincenzo Savona, currently Associate Professor at EPFL, as Full Professor of Physics in the School of Basic Sciences (SB)
Vincenzo Savona is an international leader in the field of theoretical quantum photonics. His research activities have led to innovative discoveries in various areas, including polariton physics, quantum optics and open quantum systems. Vincenzo Savona was a driving force behind the founding of EPFL’s new Centre for Quantum Science and Engineering (QSE), of which he is currently Academic Director. As a key member of the scientific community in the field of quantum science and technologies, he makes a vital contribution to strengthening this area of research at EPFL. He is also a competent and motivated teacher who is committed to the education of his students.
