Professorship at the University of Toronto for Goutham Gopalakrishna

Former PhD student at the Swiss Finance Institute @EPFL, Dr. Goutham Gopalakrishna has been hired by the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure-track).
Dr. Goutham Gopalakrishna joined EPFL and Swiss Finance Institute as a PhD student in 2017 and defended his dissertation titled “Essays in macro-finance and deep learning” in July 2023 supervised by Prof. Pierre Collin-Dufresne. His research interest is in macro-finance, machine learning, and asset pricing. He spent a semester at Princeton University as a visiting scholar during his PhD. He returned to Princeton University as a Visiting Assistant Professor upon graduation, and will start at the University of Toronto in January 2024.
