Prof Sarah Kenderdine delivers keynote at Swiss Research Data Day '18

Prof. Sarah Kenderdine, head of the Laboratory of Experimental Museology and director of the ArtLab, spoke about "Cultural data sculpting in public and research domains" at the Swiss Research Data Day 2018, which took place at ETH Zurich on 12 June 2018.
The event brought together leaders in the field, enthusiasts and students, in a day of presentations and thematic break-out sessions. Themes explored included 'Creating cross-linked deposits in the Zenodo repository of CERN', 'The Human Brain Project Open Neurodata Ecosystem', and 'Using Patient Data in Health Research: Challenges and Opportunities'.
Prof. Kenderdine spoke about the opportunities for engaging the public with tangible and intangible heritage data through a series large-scale interactive and immersive experiences that result from collaborative and interdisciplinary research practises. She further discussed the opportunities for creative reuse of (big and small) cultural data and the diverse challenges for processing and display, including infrastructure, access, data curation and copyright.
