Prof. Bryan Ford, new Member of the Library Commission

Professor Bryan Ford is the new Representative for the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at the Library Commission.

Bryan Ford is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at EPFL specializing in decentralized and distributed systems of security and privacy.

He is head of the DEDIS (Decentralized/Distributed Systems) laboratory. His research interests include long-term digital archiving and related topics such as reproducible deterministic computation and transparency. He has taken over the role of Library Representative at the Library commission for the School of Computer and Communications Sciences.

As such he will convey the voice and the specific needs of the School and of the IC Community in terms of :

  • Library Collection development in the field of computer and communication sciences (especially with respect to the subscription campaign)
  • Training services to IC students in information management and literacy,
  • Publishing and research data management support
