Prestigious awards for Jonathan Scarlett, a former LIONS member

Former LIONS member Jonathan Scarlett, now at the National University of Singapore, has received the following awards: The NUS Presidential Young Professorship and the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific region).

1) The NUS Presidential Young Professorship, awarded incoming or existing tenure-track assistant professors at the National University of Singapore. This award is highly selective, and is chosen based on a research track record in the areas of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

2) The MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific region), which recognizes young talents contributing to research, innovation, or entrepreneurship in the development or application of modern technologies. Jonathan was selected primarily for his work on the algorithms and mathematics of group testing, which he commenced during his post-doctoral position at LIONS. The full list can be found here
