Power Electronics for Renewable Energy Applications
EDEY Doctoral Course: ENG - 612
Another edition of the doctoral course ENG-612, "Power Electronics for Renewable Energy Applications" has been organized by Power Electronics Laboratory. Six Ph.D. students from the doctoral program in Energy (EDEY), had a chance to learn about digital control of power electronics converters, motivated by problems of renewable energy generation. Theoretical concepts were simulated and immediately implemented and validated both on the RT-HIL system and Power Electronics Teaching Setups (PETS). During the week, everyone succeeded in implementing control principles behind the grid-connected converters and injecting power into the grid. A great thanks to Prof. Andrea Cervone from KU Leuven, for coming to deliver his lectures and Dr. Jules Macé and Mr. Max Dupont for the great support with practical aspects of the course.
Congratulations to all participants and all the best with the rest of your PhD studies.
