Point Smart repairs your cell phones

After a one-year pilot phase, Point Smart is now fully integrated into Poseidon's services. It allows you to fix your smartphone at cost price.
Launched in April 2023 as a pilot project, Point Smart is back in action this week at the start of the new semester. Launched by the Sustainability Unit, it is now fully integrated into the Poseidon services within the Information Systems Domain, with eight student assistants instead of three.
During the pilot phase, Point Smart carried out around 300 interventions of all kinds on the cell phones of EPFL community members, saving precious resources. Indeed, prolonging the lifespan of devices is the best way to reduce the impact of digital technology on the environment, since the manufacture of a smartphone accounts for 80% of its environmental footprint.
