The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed daily life for the EPFL community, forcing staff to rethink how they work and prompting students to consider what they can do to help society.

Since March, the EPFL community has been faced with the challenges of an evolving pandemic. From classes being shifted online to Zoom meetings for employees, everyone has had to change their way of functioning. The School of Computer and Communication Sciences (IC) has created this series of podcasts, called IC Connects, to share the different ways our community is adapting to life during COVID-19.

Finding the right balance

In our fourth podcast, three employees from the administrative team for IC’s PhD program –Eileen Hazboun, Cecilia Anna Chapuis and Annalisa Ginocchio – discuss how the lockdown has improved the way their team communicates and helped them find a healthy work-life balance.

Wanting to make a difference

In our fifth podcast, Camille Ohlmann, a Bachelor’s student in communication systems, explains what inspired her to pitch in and help healthcare professionals develop the HospiLive app.
