Hybrid Modular Multilevel Converter for Pumped Hydro Storage Applications
Mr. Miodrag Basic has successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "Hybrid Modular Multilevel Converter for Pumped Hydro Storage Applications". Due to ongoing situation with COVID-19, complete PhD examination has been conducted in hybrid form. The examination committee was composed of: Prof. Hans-Peter Nee (KTH, Sweden), Dr. Christoph Haederli (Hitachi Energy, Switzerland), Dr. Christophe Nicolet (Power Vision Engineering, Switzerland) and supported by Prof. Mario Paolone (EPFL, Switzerland). The thesis deals with topological variation of MMC, with special focus on hydropower applications.
Miodrag will be soon joining Hitachi Energy, Switzerland as a control engineer for power converters.
