High Frequency IGCT Operation for DC Transformer
Mr. Gabriele Ulissi has successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "High Frequency IGCT Operation for DC Transformer". Due to remaining troubles with COVID-19, complete PhD examination has been conducted in hybrid form. The examination committee was composed of: Prof. Binbin Li (Harbin Institute of Technology, China), Dr. Silverio Alvarez (ABB Medium Voltage Drives, Switzerland), Prof. Elison Matioli (EPFL, Switzerland) and supported by Prof. Karen Mulleners (EPFL, Switzerland). The thesis deals with high freqeuncy operation of IGCT for MVDC applications, and is conducted under the umbrella of ERC Consolidator Grant project "EMPOWER".
Gabriele will be soon joining consulting company Roland Berger, Switzerland.
