High-Current Low-Voltage Power Supply for Superconducting Magnets

Mr. Emilien Coulinge has successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "High-Current Low-Voltage Power Supply for Superconducting Magnets". Due to ongoing situation with COVID-19, complete PhD examination has been conducted through online meeting. The examination committee was composed of: Prof. Petar Grbovic (University of Innsbruck, Austria), Dr. Kostantinos Papastergiou (CERN, Switzerland), Prof. Alfred Rufer (EPFL Switzerland) and supported by Dr. Rachid Cherkaoui (EPFL, Switzerland). The work has been conducted in collaboration with CERN and Dr. Serge Pittet as Thesis Co-director. The thesis deals with modeling, design optimization, and control of high-precision high-current low-voltage power supply for superconducting magnets for particle accelerators.

Emilien will be joining soon ABB Traction System Enginering team in Turgi, Switzerland.

Congratulations Emilien
