PEL PhD Thesis - Mr. Dragan Stamenkovic

Mr. Dragan Stamenkovic has successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "IGCT Based Solid State Resonant Conversion". Due to ongoing situation with COVID-19, complete PhD examination has been conducted through online meeting. The examination committee was composed of: Prof. Yongsug Suh (Chonbuk National University, Korea), Prof. Ulrike Grossner (ETHZ, Switzerland), Dr. Peter Steimer (ABB, Switzerland) and supported by Dr. Rachid Cherkaoui (EPFL, Switzerland). The work has been sponsored by Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and in part by ABB Semiconductors. The thesis deals with application of Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristors (IGCTs) for the resonant power conversion.

Dragan will be joining soon ABB Medium Voltage Drives team in Turgi, Switzerland.
