PARSA student recipient of the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Award

The IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Awards Program is an intensely competitive worldwide program, which honors exceptional Ph.D. students who have an interest in solving problems that are important to IBM and fundamental to innovation in many academic disciplines and areas of study.

Cansu is mainly interested in computer architecture. Her research is centered around server system architecture, particularly focusing on memory system design to bridge the performance gap between processor and memory. To this end, she has been exploring ways to predict memory activity to proactively move instructions and data closer to the processor to hide the memory access latency from the processor.
