We performed an online study to better understand the causes of minor hallucinations, which are frequent symptoms in Parkinson’s disease. The study tested the effects of specific hallucinations on a cognitive task.

Patients with Parkinson’s disease were asked to complete an anonymous online study from their home, on a computer or tablet. With the help of three patient associations (France Parkinson, Parkinson’s UK, Parkinson Suisse), a total of 169 patients with Parkinson’s disease completed our study. The recruitment is now completed, and we are starting to fully analyze the collected data. Please stay tuned to our laboratory webpage for updates on the results and future studies (https://www.epfl.ch/labs/lnco/news/).
