Published by EPFL Press (PPUR), TRANSFORMATIONS is part of the official selection for the 2023 Roberval Award in the "Higher Education" category. The box set includes in a special edition the books GREEN DENSITY, URBAN RECOVERY, SUBURBAN POLARITY, and LIVING PERIPHERY, which summarize the work carried out by the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST), as well as an essay by Prof. Emmanuel Rey on the role of the architectural project in the transition of urban territories, and various testimonials from people involved in the initiative.

The Roberval Award is an international competition, open to all French-speaking countries, organized each year by the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC). It rewards works that explain technology in French in five categories: higher education, general public, television, youth, and scientific and technical journalism in a variety of forms: books, documentaries, newspaper articles, and digital works. The prize is organized in partnership with the General Delegation to the French Language and the Languages of France (DGLFLF), the Oise Departmental Council, the National Academy of Technologies of France and the City of Compiègne, as well as with the support of numerous institutions.

Among the 121 entries received for this 36th edition, the TRANSFORMATIONS box set was one of nine books selected in the "Higher Education" category. Using an original approach that is both forward-looking and interdisciplinary, the four books in the box set aim to experiment, compare, and evaluate various project-based visions for tackling the many issues involved in the transition of our built environment.
