Our paper on niobia overcoating for synthesizing mesoporous niobia catalysts was published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A. Yuan-Peng, Florent and Trung developed a new kinetically controlled sol-gel method to overcoat niobia on SBA-15. The acid sites of this solid acid have unprecedentedly high thermal stability. This overcoated catalyst is also highly active in xylose dehydration and alkylation reactions due to its unique structural features. Congrats Yuan-Peng, Florent, and Trung.
