Newcomer in the Laboratory
My research journey is dedicated to finding innovative ways to mitigate carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions within the construction industry
My name is Ömer and I am from Turkey. I am a passionate and driven PHD student with a strong affinity for experimental work in the fascinating field of cement and concrete. I've been passionate about this since from my bachelor studies, and I find real joy in experimenting.
My research journey is dedicated to finding innovative ways to mitigate carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions within the construction industry, particularly in the context of cement production. I am deeply motivated to explore the structural performance and sustainability potential of limestone calcined cement concrete, a promising building material for reducing the environmental footprint.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I find joy in a variety of hobbies that enrich my life. When I'm not in the lab, I'm out exploring nature on hikes, enjoying some friendly competition with football or volleyball. Table tennis is another passion of mine, offering both mental and physical stimulation. Additionally, I have a profound love for delving into history books, unearthing stories from the past that continue to shape our world today. Lastly, there's a simple pleasure in walking under the rain, a timeless activity that never fails to rejuvenate my spirit.
I'm excited to dive into my research and make a positive impact on the world of construction!
